How to restore your phone Knok Phoenix Backup Tutorial

This tutorial will show you how to backup your phone using Knok Pheonix .

Ok things to do and things to know

1.) You have downloaded the software, if you havnt download the zip file HERE and unzip the files to a dir on your drive.

2.) Make sure that you have a fully charged battery, last thing you want is it failing half way through the backup.

3.) Make sure that the flasher cables are connected to the computer and connected correctly to the phone .

4.) Make sure there is no sim card in the phone.

Ok lets start using the software so follow these steps pictures included ;-)

Backing up your phone

Step 1 Start Knock Phoenix and you will see the screen below

Step 2 select the model of your phone from the drop down menu (it is currently set to 3210 as default as shown above)

Step 3 click read from the menu at the top and select ?Read Fullflash and store as FLS? as shown in picture below

After you click Read fulflash and store as FLS the following screen appears

You will probably need to press the power button on your phone for about a second for it to start restoring your phone (it says this in the picture above ?press power if needed?).

During the course of the backup you will see the addresses that have already been backed up so far in the program window and the status bar at the bottom also shows you how much in % that has been completed so far as seen in the picture below.
(takes about 10 ? 20 minutes to complete)

When the backup of your phone has been completed you will see the following screen.

Notice that the last entry in the window above is O.K. this means that it has competed the backup of your phone.

If you are wondering where the backup has been written then simply go to the directory where you have Knock Phoenix installed and you will see a file with the same model and version of your phone and it will have the extension .fls.

That's it job done backup complete.

I would recomend you now make sure that the backup was written successfully by double clicking on the backup file and opening it with WordPad.

Once it is open in wordpad or another text editor you should see a lot of what is called machine code, if it looks like the picture below then all is fine. As long as it is not completely the same symbols throughout the file (e.g. oyoyoyoyoyo) then all is okHope you found this tutorial helpfull.
